STOK KANGRI EXPEDITION

An 18-day Ladakh adventure combining trekking, cultural exploration, and a 6,123 m summit climb. The journey includes sightseeing in Leh, monastery visits, and an excursion to Khardung La, the world’s highest motorable pass. The trek crosses remote valleys and high passes before the final ascent of Stok Kangri, offering sweeping Himalayan views.

The route starts in Chilling and moves through villages, gorges, and passes like Ganda La (4,850 m) and Stok La (4,900 m). Eleven trekking days at a strenuous pace prepare you for the summit push. Terrain ranges from arid valleys to glaciers, with nights at Base and High Camp to aid acclimatisation before the climb.

Begin in Delhi, fly to Leh, and trek during the summer season from mid-June to mid-September. Warm days and cold nights at altitude are typical. An Indian visa, proper vaccinations, and appropriate mountaineering gear are required. The trip blends adventure, culture, and the challenge of a Himalayan summit.

All arrangements are managed by The Mountain Company—permits, tents, meals, ponies, and climbing gear logistics. The team includes experienced Western and Sherpa guides, cooks, and support staff. Safety is prioritised with acclimatisation days, glacier skills training, and a full first aid kit for high-altitude conditions.
