Rupshu Valley Trek Overview

The Rupshu Valley Trek is a 17-day Ladakh journey rated Moderate to Challenging. It traverses the stark beauty of the Rupshu Plateau, a remote high-altitude desert home to the nomadic Changpa people. Starting with acclimatisation in Leh, the route follows sections of the Markha Valley, crosses high passes such as Ganda La (4,900 m), Zalung Karpo La (5,200 m), and Yar La (5,000 m), and passes through villages like Markha, Hankar, and Dat before opening into the vast plains of Rupshu. Rich in wildlife, culture, and mountain panoramas, this trek is both scenic and culturally immersive
