MARKHA VALLEY TREK

A 15-day Ladakh adventure with 9 trekking days through the Markha Valley. Explore Delhi and Leh, visit Shey & Thiksey monasteries, and cross Ganda La (4,850 m) and Kongmaru La (5,100 m). Enjoy views of Kang Yatse, Stok Kangri, Karakoram, and Zanskar. Mix of hotel stays and camping for culture and mountain scenery.

Trek from Spituk to Hemis via remote villages, valleys, and high passes. Walk 3–8 hrs daily at a moderate pace with time for acclimatisation. Terrain ranges from riverbeds to high pastures and colourful gorges. Passes offer sweeping Himalayan views and insight into Ladakh’s culture.

Fly to Delhi, then to Leh for a summer trek from mid-June to mid-Sept. Warm days, cold nights at altitude. Indian visa and vaccinations advised. Respect local customs with modest dress and temple etiquette. Combines mountain adventure with cultural immersion in Himalayan landscapes.
