DZO JONGO EAST

Tours

A 15-day expedition combining Ladakhi cultural acclimatisation with a 6,200 m summit climb. The route covers monasteries, markets, high passes, and remote camps before the summit push. Suitable for fit trekkers seeking a Himalayan peak without major technical climbing.

Hikking

The trek starts from Matho Village, passing through Matho Phu, Shang Phu, and Nimaling. Multiple high passes—Gyanyis La, Shang La, Gyunchu La, Kongmaru La—aid acclimatisation. Summit day from Base Camp demands 10–14 hours, with steady climbs and rewarding views.

Travel

Arrive in Leh for acclimatisation before the trek. The best time is July to September for stable weather. Hotel stays, insurance, flights, boots, and sleeping bags are not included, so personal preparation is essential.

Support

Includes all expedition logistics: tents, mountaineering equipment, horses for loads, mountain guide, cook, assistant, permits, and local transport. Safety measures and gradual acclimatisation are built into the itinerary.
